Vacation 09

Grandpa! Are you sure it is okay if Ezra eats that much ice cream!?!?

Vacation 09

Here we are at the beach!

Vacation 09

Over this vacation Kaleb learned how to swim well enough to quit using a life jacket. This made Mommy much less than comfortable, but Dad kind of insisted that we let him try out his new fins.
Here we are jumping off the Petoskey pier the summer after they rebuilt it. It is pretty high now.

Vacation 09

Really classy stuff. Just the kind of stuff our kids like.

Vacation 09

On the way up to Petoskey we stopped at the place just north of Kalkaska were they have all kinds of cement statues and... stuff.

Vacation 09

...Just another one of the guys... picking on someone his own size...

Vacation 09

Not a good sleeper in the car. In fact, a terrible sleeper in the car.

Vacation 09

Watch out for those bathing-beauties!!

Vacation 09

Mommy was having a bad influence on us again.

Vacation 09

You get to ride all kinds of cool stuff at uncle Andy's house!
For some reason, Kaleb wouldn't ride the horse.

Vacation 09

Finally getting around to posting some of our vacation pictures from 09. After Jeff and I did the Steelhead we headed out to Colorado to see Andy and his new wife Trisha.
That is Andy jumping "over" our kids in the police tube.

Ezzy 'learning the ropes' at the Smith House...

So... we all knew it was inevitable that it would happen. For his own safety we decided it should be sooner rather than later.

Sermon Illustration

Wow! Kaleb is short. The church is empty! Only the part you can see... I am sure the rest of it was packed?!? Nope. Since then, Kaleb has grown, the church has grown (a little - at least people sit up front now), and my vertical leap is much, much smaller. The Larshes just sent us this picture.

Kaleb's Joy, Pain and Sorrow.

Today Kaleb scored 2 goals. He was "manically" happy! He also got kicked in the mouth so hard one of his front teeth came loose. He cried for a minute, then decided to keep playing. Shortly there after he scored his second goal. Maybe the funniest (?) moment was when he missed a shot on goal and started crying in rage. He didn't stop playing, just wept and pumped his fists in unfettered fury.
Cheyenne is really competitive. He learned this maladjusted behavior from her.

Soccer Buddies

Yes. They will play in the Olympics together someday.

Titus Getting Ready to Shed Blood on the Soccer Field

A man has to stretch doesn't he?

Titus with a Powerful Thirst

All that soccer makes a man powerful thirsty!

Titus Laying Around

Titus spends most of his time on the ground. We are not sure why since he really doesn't "get" that he is supposed to chase the ball. He tends to run behind the crowd, then fall down at random times. All well. He is outside.

Kaleb's First Goal!

We think this is going to be the first of many.
